Using Markup From Camera Roll

After capturing a screenshot on an iPhone, there is immediately an option for you to write texts on it or add some markups on it before it goes to your Camera Roll. You would see a prompt to Save it to Photos or Delete Screenshot after editing it. In cases where you already made the screenshot but weren’t able to tap on Edit, you can still do so later by selecting the particular screenshot and tapping on Edit.

I didn’t know this simple tip before and just thought I would share it for others to save time in editing photos and screenshots. I used to retrieve my photo or screenshot to be edited via iCloud.com’s Camera Roll and open Paint on my Windows laptop to add markups on my photos or screenshots.

How To Send Uncropped Images Via Instagram Direct Message

When I first started sending out group direct messages to my friends on Instagram, I didn’t mind that the images sent via direct messages are partially cut off. That is, until I started to send more images or photos with text on them and the obsessive-compulsive personality in me inwardly protested. I found a workaround for it and it does solve the partially cut off dilemma in most images.

Right within the DM feature when you select a photo, an arrow up button sends the photo. From here it’s obvious you don’t get the whole of the photo uploaded.

Instead of uploading the image directly within the DM platform, an alternative would be to go to the photo feed or the home menu of Instagram and click on the Plus button which serves the same function of uploading photos.

After clicking on upload photo, this is what you would then see on the screen. On the left side is the adjust image button. Just click on it to retain the original size of the photo.
